My 19-Day Glasses Nightmare: A Warning to All Online Shoppers 😱
I'm writing this to warn everyone about my absolutely terrible online shopping experience. It's been a nightmare trying to get my new glasses, and I feel compelled to share my direct feelings: "Terrible company. I ordered glasses March 30th, paid for express shipping 3-5 because my old glasses broke. Day 5 rolled around, still in production, day 10 still in production. Day 11 I called to ask for a shipping refund, they seemed like they do it all the time by the way she responded. So I got the $10 in shipping, but these glasses are STILL 6 days out on delivery. Stop giving terrible companies your money, let them die out because someone doesn't give a crap about their customers, and I will be telling all my four-eyed friends to never shop here. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Day 19 or whatever, still no glasses!!!" My old glasses broke, leaving me virtually blind, so I desperately needed this resolved, which is why I had to call customer service.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling about order [Order Number]. I placed it on March 30th and paid for express shipping because my old glasses broke. It's now been 19 days, and I still don't have them. This is unacceptable! CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration, and I apologize for the significant delay with your order. Let me pull up your details now. Customer: You already refunded my express shipping days ago, but that doesn't solve the fact I'm still without glasses. I was told they were still 6 days out on delivery even after being in production for so long. What is going on? CS Rep: You are absolutely right. A refund on shipping doesn't replace the glasses you desperately need. It looks like there was an unforeseen production delay that impacted a batch of orders, including yours. We are truly sorry for not communicating this more proactively. Customer: So, what's the actual ETA? I can't be without glasses any longer. This has been a terrible experience from start to finish. CS Rep: I'm checking the latest update for you right now. It shows your glasses have now passed final quality checks and are preparing for dispatch. I will personally escalate this to our shipping department to see if we can get them moved out today for immediate priority shipping at no extra cost to you. I will also follow up with you directly via email this afternoon with a firm tracking number.
