A Parent's Nightmare: Wrong Prescription & A Customer Service Black Hole 😡


I'm writing this as a warning to other parents. My experience with GlassesUSA was a lesson in frustration. We ordered glasses for our 12-year-old, but he couldn't see properly with them. A visit to the doctor confirmed the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect. The website never even prompted us for this crucial number; they just assumed a value. My direct feeling about this is: Please know you will never be able to reach a human at glassesusa and have a real phone conversation if you call them, so plan on frustration if your glasses are not correct. Email interactions are too slow, causing the process to drag on. After endless automated systems, I finally managed to get a person on the line to fix this mess for my son.

Customer: Hello? I finally got a human. My son's glasses are wrong. The doctor confirmed the PD is incorrect, and your website never asked for it.

CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the issue with your son's glasses and the trouble you've had reaching us. I can definitely help you with this. Could you please provide me with your order number?

Customer: It's #12345. It's just frustrating. The site just guessed the PD, and now my son can't see. We had to pay for another doctor's visit to figure this out.

CS Rep: I completely understand your frustration, and I apologize for the oversight on our website and the inconvenience this has caused. We can offer a one-time free lens replacement with the correct PD. I can email you a return label right now.
